Sheldon Peddle was born, raised, and resides in Corner Brook, NL.  He has completed studies at York University (Environmental Studies) and the Coady International Institute (Resource Management).  Mr. Peddle has been employed as Executive Director of ACAP Humber Arm, a community based organization focused on marine and coastal issues, since 1997.  He is responsible for strategic planning, financial management, and government/community/media relations.   

Mr. Peddle is Past President of Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade, Director with Deer Lake Regional Airport Authority, Director with Bay of Islands Radio.  He has previously served as Chair of the Corner Brook Stream Development Corporation for 17 years, Chair of the Model Forest of NL; Chair of the Provincial Household Hazardous Waste Committee; Director of the Multi Material Stewardship Board; Co-chair of the Corner Brook Sewage Treatment Committee, and Chair of the Environmental Services Division, Canada Winter Games Corporation.

Peddle is the recipient of Corner Brook Citizen of the Year Award, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Chief of Police Service to Community Award, Western NL Top 40 Under 40, Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Environmental Leader Award; and Futures In Newfoundland and Labrador Youth (FINALY) Youth of the Year Award.
