Children Aiming to Choose Health (CATCH)

Children Aiming to Choose Health (CATCH) is a program to engage young children and their families in various fun and interactive activities while promoting healthy messages. This program is designed for preschool children and school aged children from kindergarten to Grade Two.

A facilitator’s guide outlines sessions and activities, including indoor and outdoor games that focus on healthy eating, active living or both. Depending on the composition of a group and the length of time available, leaders may consider using one or more activities at a time. Leaders may also focus on doing several activities over the course of a few weeks or include in programming on a regular basis.

There are CATCH Program kits located in all Community Health Nurse, Public Health focus offices. Contact your local Community Health Nurse.
