Speech-Language Pathology

Speech-Language Pathology services are provided to preschoolers (birth to school entry) and to adults. Assessment, treatment and consultation are provided in the areas of articulation (pronunciation), language, stuttering, voice and swallowing. Speech-Language Pathologists also provide education to the consumer, other professionals and the general public regarding speech, language and swallowing.

Self-referrals for communication difficulties are accepted. A physician’s referral is required for swallowing issues. Routine referrals may experience a significant wait time for service, but more urgent cases are prioritized.

Offices are open from Monday to Friday in Port-aux-Basques, Stephenville, and Corner Brook. Travelling clinics to the Northern Peninsula is held twice yearly, in spring and fall.
