Health Emergency Management

Health Emergency Management involves analyzing hazards and developing risk management and mitigation strategies for Western Health.  Emergency response plans for the region and for each office and facility are updated regularly with emphasis given to the preparation and practical application of Universal Emergency Codes.

The Health Emergency Planning Coordinator is primarily responsible for the planning, development, coordination and implementation of a Regional Health Emergency Management Plan. Emphasis is also given to enhancing emergency preparedness links between emergency response agencies, government departments, non-governmental agencies, and municipalities with Western Health.
