Psychologists provide assessment, intervention and diagnostic services to children from birth to school entry who present with developmental delays or those who are at risk for developmental delays. Services are provided in a clinic setting. To ensure coordination of services, the Psychologist consults with other service providers involved with the child and is an active participant in the Individual Support Services Plan (ISSP) process.
Referrals to this service can be made through health care providers such as Family Physicians, Public Health Nurses, Speech-Language Pathologists, etc. Currently there is an extensive wait time for most referrals.
Offices are open daily from Monday to Friday. Traveling clinic to the Northern Peninsula is held twice yearly, in spring and fall. The Psychologist position in Stephenville is currently vacant.
