COVID-19 Vaccines

COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective.

The best vaccine is the first one offered to you. Everyone is encouraged to take whichever vaccine is available to them as soon as possible.

COVID-19 Immunization Plan for Newfoundland and Labrador.

COVID-19 vaccination is available for all eligible residents, which includes everyone older than 12 years of age.

Vaccines are available from pharmacies and family physicians, as well as public health clinics.

Western Health is encouraging all eligible residents to receive their first or second vaccine at these clinics, at a participating pharmacy or physician’s office:

Bonne Bay Area- Bonne Bay Health Centre

While booking an appointment is encouraged, individuals can walk into any of these clinics to receive their vaccine without an appointment. The frequency of clinics will decrease in September and some locations may be by appointment only. Vaccination appointments will soon be added to the booking system for September.

Second dose appointments that were scheduled when individuals received their first vaccine have been cancelled and that individuals need to either rebook an appointment or attend a walk in vaccine clinic to receive their second dose.  Individuals are eligible to receive the second dose 28 days after their first dose.
