Western Health is partnering with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and other regional health authorities to expand online mental health and substance use self-screening throughout the province through CheckItOutNL.ca.

“We are pleased that self-screening will now be available throughout the province. These quick self-screening tools help people think about how they are really feeling and help them get connected to local resources and supports if or when needed,” said Carol Anne Wight, Regional Director of Mental Health and Addictions. Since implementing CheckItOutNL.ca three years ago, there have been 7368 self-screenings completed.

Screening is an important first step for early identification and intervention of mental health and substance use concerns. Online self-screening is fast, anonymous, and available from your mobile device, tablet or computer. It takes only a few minutes to select a screening tool and answer the short questions. Participants receive immediate feedback and can explore local services and supports.

The following self-screenings are available for adults 18+ among the many other e-mental health programs available at BridgethegApp.ca.
