In the Western Region, palliative care services are also available for clients at home. Professional support is available by referral to Community Health Nurse for any person with a diagnosis of a terminal illness.
Included, as part of palliative care is an array of services available to clients who wish to receive end of life care at home. Services available include nursing care, home supports, equipment, social work counseling and medications for symptom management.
