Please be advised that visitation restrictions have been extended to Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, Port aux Basques. Visitation restrictions are being put in place due to an outbreak of a stomach flu-like illness which may include vomiting and diarrhea.
Please be advised that visitation restrictions have been extended to Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, Port aux Basques. Visitation restrictions are being put in place due to an outbreak of a stomach flu-like illness which may include vomiting and diarrhea.

Western Health would like to ask for the public’s co-operation during this temporary visitation ban and to refrain from visiting.

Exceptions for visitation may be made on a case-by-case basis for immediate family members of the terminally ill. Please contact the health centre directly for instructions on how to proceed.

People who have had vomiting and diarrhea or other flu like symptoms are asked to refrain from visiting any of Western Health’s facilities. Individuals with any of these symptoms should rest at home, drink fluids, practice proper hand washing with hot water and soap, and if the symptoms persist contact their physician.

A visitation ban continues to be in place at other Western Health facilities including: Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital (Stephenville), Western Memorial Regional Hospital (Corner Brook), the O’Connell Centre (Corner Brook) and the Protective Community Residences on Wheeler’s Road (Corner Brook).
