Western Health would like to ask for the public’s co-operation during this temporary visitation restriction and to refrain from visiting.
Exceptions for visitation may be made on a case-by-case basis for immediate family members of the terminally ill. Please contact the nursing unit directly for instructions on how to proceed.
People who have had vomiting and diarrhea or other flu like symptoms are asked to refrain from visiting any of Western Health’s facilities. Individuals with any of these symptoms should rest at home, drink fluids, practice proper hand washing with hot water and soap, and if the symptoms persist contact their physician.
A visitation ban continues to be in place at some of Western Health’s facilities in Corner Brook including: Western Memorial Regional Hospital, The Interfaith Home, the O’Connell Centre and the Protective Community Residences on Wheeler’s Road.
Western Health would like to thank the public for their cooperation in helping prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
