Western Health would like to advise the general public that as of Sunday evening, 10 pm, the Flu Assessment Centre established at the former Regina High School will close.

For the past two weeks, there has been a steady and consistent decline in the number of patients assessing Flu Assessment. The volume of patients can now be accommodated through an individual’s family physician or through the Outpatients Department at Western Memorial Regional Hosptial.

The Flu Assessment Centre at the former Regina High School has been put in place to support local physicians offices and clinics who are experiencing a significant increase in the number of patients needing to be seen with flu like symptoms.

The public is reminded that the H1N1 vaccination program is continuing in the Western Region next week. Further details on vaccination clinics are available by calling 1-877-632-H1N1 (4161) or on the Western Health website at www.westernhealth.nl.ca.
